Our shared climate is warming due to human overuse of fossil fuels, mining and destruction of carbon sinks by deforestation and some types of agriculture. Humankind and remaining biodiversity around us are in a sixth mass extinction process. It is an EMERGENCY. Scientific evidence and agreement is more than ample and many people understand the peril for this generation and future ones. Also, commitment to equity requires us to investigate the unequal effects of climate change as we shape our response to this crisis. The hope is that we can adapt as individuals and as a society fast enough to mitigate climate change for our children.
